According to the Office of National Statistics, In April 2020, nearly half (46.6%) of people in employment worked from home, with the majority (86.0%) of these stating that this was because of COVID-19.
It’s not a surprise that we have seen a huge shift into the world of remote working. COVID-19 forced many to adopt the remote working model in a way that has never been needed on such a scale across all industries before.
If a remote model, either full or mixed with some office working, is to be adopted businesses will need to have strategies and policies in place to overcome any associated challenges such as communication, employee engagement, and logistics.
